Objective: In today’s class we will talk about some health remedies by talking to our classmate about some steps to have a healthy living.


By the end of this class, we will be able to

  1. Give advice on health remedies. 

  2. Talk about a process.

  3. Describe healthy living.  

Agenda: 

  • Vocabulary.

  • Grammar: should (for advice). 

  • Listening.

  • Reading.

  • Improving writing skills. 


TASK 1: What is going on?

  1. Take a look at these pictures, and answer the questions: 

What’s the matter? 

What’s the problem? 

How does she/he feel? 


Subj + feel / look (s) + adjective. 

Subj + have (has) + disease. 



TASK 2: What do I have?



TASK 3:

  1. We are going to be divided into breakout rooms, and we are going to complete exercise A, unit 10, goal C, page 49.

        2. Then, please click HERE  to access extra health remedies. 

3. After reading the remedies from the book and the document, discuss: 
  • When do you do them? 


For example: 
I go to bed when I have the flu. 

I eat chicken soup when I have a stomachache.

Together, we are going to complete 2 exercises the teacher is going to share.

Objective: describe healthy living.

  1. Let’s discuss these questions: 

Do you know a person who is old and healthy (e.g., a grandparent)?

           Why do you think they are healthy?


  1. Look at this list of activities for a long and healthy life. Which activity do you think is the most important? Which do you think is the least important?

Get regular exercise

Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables

Get 7–8 hours of sleep every night

Have close friends and face-to-face contact

Breathe clean air

Take time to relax

Before going to work, what do you do? 

To use an app on your device, what do you have to do? 

What do you have to do to schedule an appointment with a doctor? 


  1. Now, let’s get divided into breakout rooms, and complete the exercises B and C, from goal D, unit 10, page 52.

The reading is on page 51. 



TASK 9: Let’s review!

  1. We are going to be divided into groups in order to have a conversation with our sick friend! Using the process,

let’s explain to him/her what she should do in order to get well soon. She/he is really worried because of
his/her work pendings. What should he/should do?

Do you know what procrastination is? Do you do it?

  2. Then, discuss these questions: 

What happens when people procrastinate too much?

Why is procrastination unhealthy?

Should people prioritize tasks to avoid procrastination? Why should we prioritize them? 

What should people do to overcome chronic procrastination and improve their quality of life?
